SCOUT SERVICE AT ST. ANDREW'S.
Birthday Celebration of 1st Kowloon Troop.
BADGES PRESENTED
A special parade service was yesterday held at St. Andrew's Church, in celebration of the thirteenth birthday of the 1st Kowloon (St. Andrew's) Troop of Boy Scouts.
A full congregation and representatives of Boy Scout, Girl Guides, Wolf Cubs and Brownies were present. The service was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. W.Walton Rogers, while the Lesson was read by the Scoutmaster, Mr. Former.
The Rev. N.V.Halward, Assistant Commissioner of Scouts, preached a stirring sermon.
At the conclusion of the service, the Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies paraded in the Church grounds, when second Patrol Leader Jack Mackay and Second Patrol Leader Victor Bond, both of St. Andrew's troop, were presented with the Royal Life Saving Society's Badge.
