SCOUT AND GUIDE JAMBORALLY
Wednesday's Function At The Valley
GOVERNOR AND LADY PEEL TO ATTEND
The Scout and Guide Associations hope that the residents of Hong Kong will attend their Jamborally on Wednesday next at the Hong Kong Football Club Ground, Happy Valley, at 4 p.m. As seats are not reserved, it is hoped that everyone attending the show will be punctual.
His Excellency the Governor and Lady Peel are due to arrive at 4 p.m.
Boy Scouts and Girl Guides from Canton and Boy Scouts from Macao will take part in the Jamborally, while the Band of the 1st Battalion, The Lincolnshire Regiment, under the direction of Bandmaster Griffett, will play during the afternoon, by kind permission of Major Griffin and the Officers of the Regiment.
There will be Bridge Building by the Scouts, a Floral Pageant, Country Dancing, and Badge Work Displays; Handicraft by Girl Guides will be on sale and Handiwork by the Scouts will be on Exhibition.
His Excellency the Governor will take the Salute at the March Past, and the Colony Standard will be presented to the Colony Commissioner by Lady Peel.
Prices of admission are: Covered stands $1.00; Open Stands 20 cents.
Tickets will be sold on the ground.
The Happy Valley Tram or No. 1 Bus will convey those intending to be present to the Jamborally.
