   If you plan a patrol weekend camp, pack your trek cart on Friday night. Stow cooking gear carefully so that dixies won't rub against tent material or personal kit. Pack personal kits and food on Saturday.

   Cover the complete kit with your ground sheets, rubber side outwards; lash everything down firmly.

   Here are more tips:

   Don't go too far away; keep off main roads.

   Carry a hurricane lamp as an after dark headlight. Also a red hurricane lamp for rear light.

   Dust your feet and stockings with powder (or soap) before you set off on the trek.
