Baden-Powell.

The Kobo Community has received a letter from Frank Baden-Powell, brother of Major-General Baden-Powell, acknowledging receipt of a silver bowl sent to the Defender of Mafeking in honour of his valour, vigilance and resource. The following is the closing paragraph of the letter:-

We are keeping here most of my brother's mementoes of the war, but I will at once write out to him direct and tell him of your great kindness. You may be interested to know that my mother and sister have been out 'wintering' at the Cape, and have luckily been able to have two visits from the General: the other brother, Major in the Scots Guards, has not been able yet to get away to see them, being always at the front with French.
