BOY SCOUTS.
PRESENTATION TO THE "CHIEF."
London, May 8.
The Duke of Connaught, the now President of the Boy Scouts' Association, presided at a meeting of the Council and presented to General Baden Powell a motor car as a wedding present from the Scouts. His Royal Highness said he deprecated the talk of militarism in connection with the movement. He was happy to say that there was a slight but definite improvement in the condition of the Duchess of Connaught. Nothing was more encouraging to her to continue the fight against the insidious disease than the sympathy and affection so generously manifested by the whole Empire.
