BOY SCOUTS OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS.
It is recommended that Scouts of school age should, as far as possible, only be employed out of school hours. Also that Scouts over school age who are at work should, under ordinary circumstances, only be employed with the consent of their employers, and for as long as they can conveniently be spared.
The French authorities, to whom the Boy Scouts offered help in gathering their harvest, have stated that, although they are deeply grateful to the Boy Scouts of Great Britain for their offer, they have sufficient labour to cope with the work, and therefore will not wish to avail themselves of the offer made by these Scouts.
