[English] HONGKONG BOY SCOUT DECORATED.

26 July 1917

HONGKONG BOY SCOUT DECORATED.

Pte. A. F. Demee writing to Scoutmaster Braga makes modest mention of the fact that he has managed to gain the "Croix de Guerre" for bravery. He says: "It is a rather nice bronze cross, attached to a green and red ribbon."

To his brother Scouts in Hongkong, the majority of whom are serving in His Majesty's auxiliary forces, the news will be most welcome and cheering.

The Boy Scouts have distinguished themselves in this war by the exceptional efficiency, and disregard for danger, and the Hongkong Boy Scouts will have every reason to be proud that they are no exception.

Scout Demee expects to be transferred to the Field Artillery Section shortly, his address, however, will remain unchanged, viz: 10 eme d'Ligne, 10 eme Compagnie, Sector Postal 83, France.

All his friends and brother Scouts are invited to write to him often, for he complains of being lonely, and welcomes letters and magazines of any description.
