GOES TO B. P. SCOUTS.

The destination of a Tls. 2,500 legacy made to the now defunct Boys' Brigade by the late James Tulloch in 1907 was decided last week by Mr. Skinner Turner, Acting Judge, in H. M. Supreme Court at Shanghai, the award being made in favour of the Baden-Powell Scouts, the only applicants.

Mr. E. L. Hartopp appeared for the trustees, Messrs. T. E. Trueman and W. F. Inglis, Mr. H. P. Wilkinson as Crown Advocate, and Mr. H. Browett for the Baden-Powell Scouts.

Mr. Hartopp explained the circumstances concerning the legacy. The Boys' Brigade, he said, ceased to exist in or about 1913 and had been succeeded by several similar institutions. The Crown Advocate had made inquiries and had filed an affidavit in the matter. The Boys Brigade had not been confined to British boys.

Mr. Browett called Mr. I. D. Macdonald who spoke to the Baden-Powell Scouts organisation having the same objects and principles as the Boys' Brigade.

His Lordship gave judgment in favour of the B. P. Scouts, costs to come out of the trust fund.
