SCOUTS SWIMMING SPORTS.

First Annual Meeting.

The preliminary heats in the first annual swimming sports of the Hongkong Boy Scouts' Association were held yesterday at the V. R. C. baths. The finals will be held on Saturday afternoon. The following are the results of the heats, the names of the first and second being shown in their order:

50 Yards Senior Championship (two lengths):- A. May and Chan Shui-chi, Tong Tan-chiu and E. Zimmern. H. Watson and S. Copley. H. Lim and Ng Hon-sang.

Junior Back Stroke (one length):- Ng Wai-man and F. Zimmern, Lau Hok-wai and I. Cassumbhoy.

Wolf Cubs' Race (one length):- C. Chu and R. Patheyjohns and J. Smith, J. Longstaff and H. Harris and J. Bromfield.

Senior 100 yards Championship (four lengths):- Tong Chan-chiu, J. Kotewall, H. Watson and C. Wong, A. May and H. Lim.

Junior 50 yards Championship (two lengths):- Ng Wai-man and E. Hamson, I. Cassumbhoy and D. Leonard, F. Zimmern and L. White.

Life Saving Race:- Tong Tan-chiu and Chan Shui-chi, Kotewall and Kwok Hing-wan.

Senior Backstroke (two lengths):- A. May and Cowan, Tong Tan-chiu and Ng Hon-sang, J. Kotewall and Kwong Po-wa.

Junior 100 yards Championship (four lengths):- D. Leonard and E. Hamson, I. Cassumbhoy and W. Turtle.
