SCOUT SERVICE IN HONGKONG.
APPRECIATION OF SIR R. BADEN POWELL.
The following letter has been received by the Scout Master of the Saiyingpun Troop of Scouts from Sir Robert Baden Powell:-
DEAR SCOUTMASTER KONG,- My attention has been drawn to the work done by yourself and other Scouters and Scouts in connection with the unfortunate bus accident which took place recently.
I shall be glad if you will convey to the relatives of the Scout who lost his life, my sincere sympathy.
I am very proud that you should all have rendered such splendid and efficient service. In attending to those who were injured, forgetting your own troubles, you have proved in an unmistakable manner how Boy Scout Training promotes selfless service for other people and on behalf of the Boy Scouts Association I offer you cordial thanks.- Yours sincerely,
(Sd.) ROBERT BADEN POWELL.
Scoutmaster K. C. Kong.
