[English] OPERATION ON BADEN-POWELL

13 February 1934

OPERATION ON BADEN-POWELL

Lord Baden-Powell, the Chief Scout, underwent a second operation at King Edward the Seventh's Hospital for Officers to-day.

Afterwards the doctors expressed themselves as satisfied with his condition.

The first operation took place early this month, and since then Lord Baden-Powell has been progressing favourably. It was announced at the beginning of the year that all his engagements for two months would be cancelled, although he was looking forward to going on the Scouters' and Guiders' cruise to the Mediterranean at Easter.

Lord Baden-Powell is 77.
