A bequest of £20,000 on trust to Lord Baden-Powell for life, with remainder to his two daughters, is contained in a will published today.

Colonel Spilling also left £5,000 to his late wife's maid, Ann Gadsby, £20,000 to Edward Nanney Wynn, of Towyn, £10,000 to Grace Nanney Wynn, £20,000 to Herbert William Bainbridge, of Lamington, and after other bequests the residue of the property to Mr. Wynn.

A member of Colonel Spilling's household told the "Evening Standard:"

"Colonel Spilling was a great friend of Lord Baden-Powell and was with him in the same regiment - the 13th Hussars.

"Although the colonel had not been connected with either the Army or the Scout movement for 21 years, he often saw Lord and Lady Baden-Powell.
