Lady Baden Powell At Jamboree

Vienna, Aug. 6.

Lady Baden Powell today visited the camp of the Pakistan contingent at the seventh World Boy Scout Jamboree at Bad Ischl, near Salzburg.

The contingent consists of 32 scouts under the leadership of Mr J. D. Shuja, International Scout Commissioner for Pakistan, and Brigadier M. A. Abbasi, heir apparent of Bahawalpur State and Scout Commissioner for the State.

Lady Baden Powell was very impressed with the Pakistan camp and was very interested in their special display of pots, basket-work and beautifully made shoes, hats and scarves.

Another visitor to the camp was General Sir Robert Lockhart, a former Governor of the North-West Frontier Province.

The General, who speaks fluent Urdu and Pushtu, said he too was most impressed with the camp. He said he thought it a fine chance for these boys to meet fellow scouts from all parts of the world. - Reuter.
