Local Lad Awarded Cross and Certificate.

Mr. A. Morris, headmaster of Saiyingpun School, forwards us as a matter of general interest the following copies of letters received by him on Saturday:- Dear Sir, I have received word from the London Headquarters that P. L. Lo Kwok Chung has been awarded the Gilt Cross by the Chief Scout. H. E. the Governor will present the Cross and Certificate later, and I am to inform you that an emblem, which will also be presented is to be worn on the Scout uniform, as the medal will only be worn on special occasions.

Please give the enclosed letter to P. L. Lo Kwok Chung, and if you think fit, I would advise that it be read to the scholars before you hand it over to him.

Headquarters desire me to send them an unmounted photograph of P. L. Lo Kwok Chung, so will you please arrange to let me have this photograph at your earliest convenience, as it is required for the Roll of Honour. With all good wishes, etc.,

Dear Patrol Leader Kwok chung,- I am very glad to be able to inform you that the Chief Scout has awarded you the Gilt Cross for saving a boy from drowning last August.

The Cross and Certificate are being sent to H. E. The Governor, Chief Scout for Hongkong, for presentation to you at a suitable opportunity.
