[英文] 日本童軍於香港主場受到款待

1924年6月18日

JAPANESE SCOUTS.

WELCOMED TO HONGKONG'S "HUNTING GROUND."

On the Roof Garden of the Hongkong Hotel yesterday twenty-nine Japanese Scouts were entertained to tea by the Hongkong Boy Scouts Association. They arrived in the Colony by the s.s. "Hakone Maru" and are on their way to the Scouts International Jamboree at Copenhagen.

Mr. C. Champkin, Acting Commissioner, in an apt address of welcome said the Hongkong Scouts were pleased to welcome their brother Scouts to the happy hunting ground of Hongkong. The Scout movement in Japan was in its infancy and it was well for them to go to the old hunters of the West to learn their secrets. He wished them a pleasant voyage and hoped that on their return visit they would make a longer stay.
